History
The 2000 series was introduced to replace 1000 series (ex-Tokyo Metro 5000 series). The 2000 series is almost identical to Tokyo Metro 05N series, but the livery and seat moquette are different. 11 ten-carriage units were introduced in total.
Current Operations & Future Prospects
The 2000 series is used on Toyo Rapid Line as well as through-service to Tozai Line. However, they cannot run JR lines because the 2000 series is not compatible with train protection system thereof.
