History

The N800 series is based on Keisei 3000 series, to reduce costs of designing and construction. Five six-carriage units were introduced in total. They have slightly better acceleration than other rolling stock.

As Shin-Keisei will be dissolved and merged with Keisei, the existing fleets will be acqured by Keisei on 1 April 2025.

Current Operations & Future Prospects

The N800 series trains are used on Matsudo and Chiba Lines. It is not certain if they will be treated equally as the Keisei 3000 series (i.e. run other lines of the network).
