Shizuoka Railway A3000 series

History

The A3000 series has been introduced since 2016 to replace 1000 series. Each unit is formed of two coaches, and seven units are painted "Passion Red", "Pretty Pink", "Brilliant Orange Yellow", "Fresh Green", "Natural Green", "Clear Blue" and "Elegant Blue", respectively. The company named them "shizuoka rainbow trains" (sic), and envisages that "rainbow trains" with those erroneous English names will attract passengers and tourists.

Current Operations & Future Prospects

The A3000 series is now the only rolling stock and used on the entire line.
