History

This article describes MoBo 611, 621 and 631 series. All three types look almost the same, though each of them was built with different traction, motors and bogies. These series were made with components of older trams, but according to official documents, these three trams were "brand new" trains. All of them have been compatible with driver-only operation.

MoBo 611 series was built in 1992 and 1993, reusing traction and bogies of MoBo 111 series (in service: 1932-93). Six cars were introduced in total.

MoBo 621 series was built in 1990-96, reusing traction, motors and bogies of MoBo 121 series (in service: 1936-96). MoBo 621 series was the very first "new Randen tram", as it entered service two years earlier than the MoBo 611 series. Five cars were introduced in total.

MoBo 631 series was built in 1995 with motors of the MoBo 121 series. Three cars were introduced in total.
