History
The 300 and 350 series were introduced to replace 200 series. The 300 series is a standard diesel train built by Niigata Transys with transverse seating and an accessible toilet. The 350 series looks like diesel trains of Japanese National Railways in the 1950-60s with longitudinal seating and no toilet (except one). There are two 300 series and three 350 series carriages in total.
The third 350 series carriage is painted beige and red (just like KiHa 52) with 300 series-like accommodation. It was numbered KiHa 20-1303 as if a JNR diesel train. The company attempts to attract tourists even when there is no genuine heritage train runs.
Current Operations & Future Prospects
All trains are out of use as the entire Isumi Line has been closed due to a derailment caused by extremely poor track maintenance since October 2024. The company envisages part of the line reopening in March 2027, though it is highly uncertain at the moment.
