History
The Mo 351 series is the last tram type introduced by Nankai. It is similar to Mo 501 series, but side windows and seating are slightly different. Furthermore, traction and motors are different from those of the Mo 501 series: those of the Mo 351 series were reused from old tram cars built in the 1920s to reduce costs.
When the tram network was separated from Nankai and Hankai Tramway was established, all Mo 351 series became compatible with driver-only operation. Air-conditioning was installed in the late-1980s.
Current Operations & Future Prospects
All but one trams are used for the entire Hankai network, while No. 352 was demolished after a minor derailment in 2016.
