History
The 10 series was introduced in commemoration of the 95th anniversary of Enoden, as well as to replace a 300 series unit. The design was modelled after various trams and Orient Express in Europe in the late-19th century to attract tourists, but traction, bogies and motors are the same as those of 2000 series.
It has never been covered with any advertisement because of its distinctive appearance. The 10 series had been successful, as the number of non-season ticket users (i.e. tourists) turned to an uptrend.
Current Operations & Future Prospects
Since there is only one unit, the 10 series usually joins to another unit to form four coaches at daytime.
