History

The 9000 series was designed for not only regular service but also events held by Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation. Its exterior and accommodation are like those of Tokyo City Trams in the early-20th century.

Current Operations & Future Prospects

Two cars of 9000 series are used on Arakawa Line. No. 9001 is red and no. 9002 is blue. They are often decorated with paper crafts such as Halloween and Christmas, but never covered with an advertisement.
