History
The 30000 series was initially introduced to Tobu Isesaki Line and through-services towards Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line. 15 four and six-carriage units were introduced in total, and many four-car units formed six coaches with a two-car unit of 10000 series until the early-2000s. The 30000 series trains have been regarded as ten-car units since the through-services to Hanzomon and Tokyu Den-en-toshi Lines commenced in 2003. However, as trains simply that consist of ten coaches were more useful than those consist of 4+6 coaches, the 30000 series were gradually replaced with 50000 series.
The 30000 series were also used on non-through-services on Tobu Nikko, Isesaki and Utsunomiya Lines, but all of them were reallocated to Tojo Line by 2021.
Current Operations & Future Prospects
All 15 units are now used on Tojo Line between Ikebukuro and Ogawamachi. They never go towards Tokyo Metro Lines now, unlike when they were allocated to Isesaki Line.
