History
The 30000 series was initially introduced to the Tobu Isesaki Line and through-services towards the Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line. 15 four and six-carriage units were introduced in total, and many four-car units formed six coaches with a two-car unit of 10000 series until the early-2000s. The 30000 series trains have been regarded as ten-car units since the through-services to the Hanzomon and Tokyu Den-en-toshi Lines commenced in 2003. However, as trains simply that consist of ten coaches were more useful than those consist of 4+6 coaches, the 30000 series were gradually replaced with 50000 series.
The 30000 series were also used for non-through-services on the Tobu Nikko, Isesaki and Utsunomiya Lines, but all of them were reallocated to the Tojo Line by 2021.
Current Operations & Future Prospects
All 15 units are now used on the Tojo Line between Ikebukuro and Ogawamachi. They no longer towards the Tokyo Metro Lines.
